Distel & Fink

Growing up in Kutztown Pa, Kurt Johansen was surrounded by the deep-rooted PA Dutch heritage. After culinary school, Kurt felt deeply about sharing his culture with the world and wanted to show and highlight his hometown, starting a restaurant that elevates his favorite dishes growing up with a modern twist. Fresh farm-to-table ingredients are highlighted at this restaurant. While many see this food as bland and boring, this chef elevates and shows off all the things that this small cornfield town has to offer, in the "Big City" of Philadelphia.
